Dr. McMorrow received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara.  She later became certified as a massage therapist, and worked in a chiropractic office for two years. During this time, she decided to pursue a chiropractic career. She attended Los Angeles College of Chiropractic for a four year intensive program.  The course work for chiropractic includes anatomy, biochemistry, microbiology, physical and laboratory diagnostics, radiology, physiology, pathology, nutrition, and public health. There are also detailed classes of the clinical sciences with a good deal of "hands on" experience. In fact, chiropractic education is similar to medical education, except that medical practitioners emphasize surgery and pharmacology while Doctors of Chiropractic focus on diagnosis of musculoskeletal and nervous system disorders and treatment through clinically and scientifically established conservative procedures.  Consequently, Doctors of Chiropractic have the expertise to diagnose, treat, and/or manage many different health problems including:

   Neck Pain               Carpal Tunnel
   Back Pain               Stress
   Sciatic/Leg Pain      Elbow Pain
   Headaches             Hip Pain
   Sports Injuries       Foot Pain
   Shoulder Pain         Knee Pain

Last year Dr. McMorrow became certified as a Chiropractic Sports Practioner (C.C.S.P.). She is the only one in the area with this certification, which gives her more extensive knowlege of sports injuries, especially soft tissue and joint injuries to the extremeties.  This also gave her training on being a Team Doctor.  In the past year, she has donated her time at Yuba College adjusting the athletes and working with the Athletic Trainers.

Dr. McMorrow is also certified in Graston Techique which utilizes patented stainless steel tools to help break up adhesions and scar tissue.  This helps to relieve pain and improve mobility from chronic pain or old injuries.  It also works well on new injuries by helping to prevent adhesions and scar tissue.
